Data deletion request

The short version: email sudharsankumar@mylinkpal.co with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We delete your data within 7 days and confirm by email.

1. Your right to delete your data

You can request deletion of your MyLinkPal account and all associated data at any time, for any reason. This applies to:

  • Account data (email, name, billing history, settings)
  • Connected Instagram account tokens and metadata
  • Subscriber records (Instagram users who interacted with your account)
  • Message history (DMs, comments, story mentions, story replies)
  • Automation rules and templates you created
  • Analytics and usage data linked to your account

2. How to request deletion

The fastest way is email. Send a message to our team and we will process it manually.

Subject line: Data Deletion Request

Include in the body:

  • Your registered email address (the one you used to sign up)
  • Your Instagram username (if connected)
  • What you want deleted — entire account, or specific data (e.g. only message history)
  • Confirmation that you are the account owner

3. Deletion timeline

  • Account data: deleted within 7 days of request
  • Message and subscriber history: deleted within 7 days of request
  • Encrypted backups: purged within 30 days
  • Confirmation: we email you when deletion is complete

4. Instagram user data deletion (for users who messaged a MyLinkPal customer)

If you are an Instagram user who sent a message, comment, or story interaction to a business using MyLinkPal, and you want your data removed from our systems:

  • Send "STOP" as a DM to the business account — we stop messaging you immediately and delete your conversation history after 7 days
  • Email us directly at sudharsankumar@mylinkpal.co with your Instagram username and the business account you interacted with
  • Delete your Instagram account — Meta sends us a deletion webhook and we automatically remove your data within 30 days

5. What we keep after deletion

Even after deletion, we may retain limited data where legally required or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Anonymized analytics (cannot be linked back to you)
  • Aggregated usage statistics
  • Records required by law (e.g. tax records, payment receipts for accounting compliance)
  • Data in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before automatic purge

None of this retained data can be used to identify or contact you.

6. Meta Platform compliance

MyLinkPal complies with Meta's Platform Terms and Data Use Policy. When you (or any Instagram user) request deletion, we:

  • Stop processing the data immediately
  • Delete it from our active database within 7 days
  • Purge it from encrypted backups within 30 days
  • Honour any Meta-issued deletion webhooks within 30 days

7. Questions or complaints

EU users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. Indian users may contact our Grievance Officer (Sudharsan Kumar, Proprietor) at the same email.
